We’re here to break the stigma.

With Father’s Day right around the corner and June being Men’s Health Month, there’s no better time to focus on the men in our lives.

Just a reminder to every man out there that taking care of your health is not only smart, it’s necessary. Too often, men put their well-being on the back burner, powering through fatigue, low energy, weight gain, or emotional burnout thinking it’s “just part of getting older.”

It’s not.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and weight loss injections aren’t just for women. Men face hormone imbalances too, often resulting in […]

Tick Bites: What to Watch For This Season

Warmer weather means more time outdoors, and a higher chance of tick bites. While most are harmless, some ticks can carry illnesses like Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and more.

Here’s what to do if you or a loved one is bitten by a tick, and when to call your doctor:

Check the Bite

If you find a tick, remove it gently with tweezers, grabbing it as close to the skin as possible. Wash the area with soap and water. Save the tick in a sealed bag if possible, […]

Honoring Strength, Celebrating Survivors

Today, on National Cancer Survivors Day, we pause to honor the courage, resilience, and hope of every individual who has faced cancer and continues to thrive.

To all cancer survivors, your strength inspires us, your stories uplift us, and your journey reminds us of the power of perseverance and the importance of compassionate care. We also recognize the families, friends, and healthcare professionals who walk alongside you every step of the way.

Survivorship is more than a milestone, it is a testament to the human spirit. Today, we celebrate you.

Do you remember Darlene?

I had the sweetest full-circle moment running into a former nurse Darlene from Family Physicians, the very same one who took care of me back when I was a much younger patient. Now, years later, I’m part of the office she once worked with and I am still a patient. Funny how life brings things back around in the most meaningful ways. 💙

Do you remember Darlene? She did come to visit Dr. Goedken, but I had to ask her for a selfie.

Honoring Heroes: A Memorial Day Message from Our Office

This Memorial Day we at Family Physicians pause to reflect on the true meaning of this important day. While many enjoy the long weekend with family barbecues, parades, and the unofficial start of summer, we remember that Memorial Day is, above all, a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice has secured the freedoms we cherish and the opportunities we enjoy, including the privilege to care for our community’s health and well-being. We are deeply grateful to all those who have served, […]
