September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about one of the most common cancers among men. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men during their lifetime, and while it can be serious, the good news is that when detected early, it is often highly treatable. Why Awareness Matters Many men put off screenings or ignore early warning signs, but early detection can make all the difference. The prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and a simple exam can help doctors catch prostate cancer before it spreads.
