As the temperatures drop and we start to bundle up, it’s also the time of year when viruses love to make their rounds. Coughs, colds, and the flu tend to spread quickly once we head indoors and spend more time in close contact with others.
Getting your flu vaccine is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself and those around you. The vaccine helps your immune system recognize and fight off the flu virus before it can make you seriously ill. It can also help reduce the severity of symptoms if you do get the flu and that means fewer missed days at work, less risk for complications, and more time enjoying the cozy parts of the season.
At our office, we encourage everyone, especially those with chronic health conditions, older adults, and families with young children to make the flu shot part of their fall routine. It’s quick, safe, and helps keep our community healthier through the winter months.
Let’s keep this season full of warmth, wellness, and good health!
Between the hustle, the bustle, and the last-minute to-do lists, make sure you’re getting plenty of rest, staying hydrated, and most importantly, washing those hands! As we count down to the holiday season, this is your friendly reminder to take care of you.

Why This Week Matters Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week helps: • Educate communities about the challenges individuals face. • Encourage earlier diagnosis, which can greatly improve long-term health. • Support research, which has led to new treatments, better symptom management, and improved quality of life for patients. • Show solidarity with patients who often manage invisible symptoms every single day.
