When temperatures climb, it’s easy to think, “I’ll be fine.” But heat can affect anyone, children, older adults, outdoor workers, athletes, and even healthy adults.
Remember to:
• Drink water before you feel thirsty.
• Wear light-colored, lightweight clothing.
• Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–4 PM).
• Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, even for a minute.
• Check on family, friends, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable.
Know the warning signs of heat-related illness:
✔️ Heavy sweating
✔️ Dizziness or headache
✔️ Muscle cramps
✔️ Nausea
✔️ Fatigue or weakness
✔️ Confusion or fainting
If you or someone else experiences confusion, loses consciousness, or has a body temperature of 103°F or higher, seek emergency medical care immediately.

Some people lead by title, but the very best lead with kindness, trust, and heart. We are so fortunate to have a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients, treats people with compassion, and trusts his staff as we continue to grow and build something special together. Watching his vision for our practice come to life while staying true to the heart of family medicine is something truly special. He gives us the opportunity to grow alongside him, and that trust means more than he probably knows. Thank you for the doctor you are, the leader you are, and the lives you touch every single day. Happy Boss’s Day, Dr. Goedken! We are lucky to be part of your team!
