The pharmaceutical manufacturers of semaglutide and tirzepatide initiated litigation to stop the production of compounded versions of these medications, and those lawsuits were recently dismissed.
This is important because it means compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide can continue to be safely prescribed without concern for legal interruptions or supply chain disruptions. In other words, our patients can continue receiving these effective treatments consistently, ensuring ongoing progress toward their health and weight management goals.
