September is a powerful reminder that our health is worth prioritizing. This month is recognized nationally for raising awareness of several important health topics that affect individuals and families in our community.

Prostate Cancer Awareness – Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men, but early detection through regular screenings can make a life-saving difference. If you or a loved one is over 50, or has a family history, this is a good time to talk with your provider.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness – Often called the “silent” cancer, ovarian cancer symptoms can be subtle, like bloating, pelvic pain, or feeling full quickly. Knowing your body and speaking up about changes is key.

Childhood & Blood Cancer Awareness – September also shines a light on the youngest fighters and those battling leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Advances in treatment continue to bring hope, but awareness and support are still needed.

Healthy Aging Month – Aging is something to celebrate! This month encourages adults to take steps to stay active, eat well, schedule check-ups, and nurture their mental health. Small habits today can create a healthier, stronger tomorrow.

Suicide Prevention Awareness – Mental health is just as important as physical health. This month reminds us to check in on ourselves and others, and to know that help and resources are always available.

At our office, we believe prevention, education, and support are at the heart of good health. Take September as your opportunity to schedule your screenings, refresh healthy habits, and reach out for support if you need it.

Your health matters, today and every day.
