Mark Goedken, MD born in Cedar Rapids, attended Loras College in Dubuque, IA and received a B.S. in Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Dr. Goedken completed his residency training at the Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation. He possesses special interest in procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, vasectomies and joint injections and is the only family physician in our community comprehensively providing these services. Dr. Goedken is board certified in Family Medicine and credentialed at both hospitals. He enjoys outdoor sports, fitness, gardening and traveling.

Jennifer Forkner, MSN, ARNP has lived in Iowa most of her life and received her B.S. in nursing from the University of Iowa. She practiced nursing for 6 years which included the Intensive Care Unit and psychiatric nurse’s aide at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and at Comfort Care where she provided care for the elderly in their homes. She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 2010. Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner joining Family Physicians of Cedar Rapids in February 2011 and is credentialed at Mercy Medical Center. Jennifer has a passion for preventative medicine and nutrition which helps patients live a healthy life style. In her spare-time she enjoys fitness, cooking, traveling, watching movies, reading, gardening but mostly spending quality time with her family including her husband and 3 children.
